2013It’s been a while since I’ve posted a feature from Hawaii. Every time I make my way back to the islands, I’m always searching for cars that are a true representation of Hawaii’s import automotive scene. It’s my chance to find builds that deserve recognition and to have the opportunity to give these cars worldwide exposure is a gift that I feel blessed to have.
Vision in Progress Racing is a crew that’s been around for over a decade. It feels like yesterday I was shooting their Leguna Seca Blue e36 M3 on Lagoon Drive. The crew’s come a long way and has matured with the scene as it made its way into VIP culture. Don’t get me wrong, the crew still has its passion for crazy Honda builds (a good example of this will be apparent in the near future on DR), but moving into luxury is definitely a nice step up, especially with their great taste in building amazing cars. I’ve kept an eye on Chris’ LS430 build while in Japan and it’s definitely come along clean. He turned to Samson at Revision Audio for all his luxury needs. I’ve always loved the look of Superstar Orden’s on an LS430. To complete the setup, the car has a full Aimgain kit and AirRunner, Accuair and other adjustable suspension components to make it sit on the ground with little room to spare. Seeing this car slammed in various locations around the island was just a beautiful sight. Enjoy the shots.
