2012Mark’s been around for a while in the import scene and is pretty well known, even back in the “TeamRice days.” I’ve seen all of his builds and watched as he hit up every aspect of what a “racetrack” is built for, from drag to drift, as well as off the track. So many memorable builds, everytime coming through with a fresh new look with whatever platform he chose to roll with, from FF-EF Street Fighters to FR 180’s and 240’s, and everything in between, his builds end up getting wilder and wilder as he tests the limits of each project he works on. This RPS13 has to be one of his best, everything about it has his styling, inside and out.
When I rolled up to his house, Mark had just recently finished his motor, unfortunately it was waiting for an appointment to tune with Justin (Izumi Racecraft). My mind was blown when I saw that his bumper support was fabbed with tow hitch brackets for easy mobility in an event the car ever needed to be rolled out in a crappy situation. Within a matter of minutes the car was ready to go wherever we needed to take it.
The body is under a fresh new coat of paint, completely immaculate, fitment on point.
Even untuned, the car sounds beast. The motor idled perfectly, even as it rolled up and down the streets it was a sight and sound to see and hear. I can only imagine what it sounds like under boost.
The engine bay is just fun to stare at. From the clean wire-tuck to all the high-end components running through the bay fashionably, I can easily identify this as one of Mark’s cars. It has a strong resemblance to his previous s13 and EF engine bays. So clean, so well built.
I always liked the look of the Miracle-X crossbar. I never knew they manufactured this setup for Nissans, I’m more accustomed to seeing them in Hondas, though this is another touch that resembles Mark’s past EF build.
The front half of the interior is setup perfectly, including full Bride interior (included the roof liner), and cage.
Roll call. Don’t forget to hit up the DOHCresearch Store for your own DR stickers!
Hope you enjoyed Mark’s car as much as I did shooting it. Can’t wait to see this beast rolling around when I visit next time. Please check out the rest of the shots in the gallery below.
